Description: When a device associates to the Smart WiFi their browser displays a SSL certificate not trusted page.
Cause: Captive portal services use a SSL certificate when establishing an HTTPS connection. Some hardware manufacturers use a self signed SSL Certificate for their controllers. This can cause some browsers to display an Unknown SSL Certificate error when devices first associate to the WiFi.
Resolution: Administrators may purchase a trusted SSL Certificate from a public Certificate Authority(CA) such as VeriSign and install it on their controller.
