The following instructions outline how to setup a NETGEAR Insight network for the Smart WiFi Platform.  The guide covers configuring the captive portal settings of a Wireless network and assumes that your NETGEAR Insight equipment is already operational and with a live network ready to configure for Guest WiFi. Please make sure any firewall rules, web content filters, and other security measures have been configured to interface with the platform.
  1. Login to your Netgear Insight dashboard
  2. Select your desired location
  3. Use the menu panel at the top to select the Wireless tab
  4. Click the settings button to the top right
  5. Click the Edit option for the network you want to configure to the platform
  6. On the settings page tab for the network make the following changes
    1. Client isolation: ON
  7. On the Captive Portal tab for the network make the following changes
    1. Enable Captive Portal: ON
    2. Captive Portal Type: External Captive Portal
    3. Splash Page URL: You will be provided this
    4. Primary Authentication Server IP: You will be provided this
    5. Secondary Authentication Server IP: You will be provided this
    6. Primary and Secondary Authentication Port: 1812
    7. Primary and Secondary Authentication Password: You will be provided this
    8. Primary Accounting Server IP: You will be provided this
    9. Secondary Accounting Server IP: You will be provided this
    10. Primary and Secondary Accounting Port: 1813
    11. Primary and Secondary Accounting Password: You will be provided this
    12. Failsafe: Disable
    13. Allow HTTPS: Disable
    14. Walled Garden: Use the text area to add all of the platform wildcard walled garden entries.
    15. Press Save
  8. This completes the configuration for NETGEAR Insight
