The following instructions outline how to setup a NETGEAR Insight network for the Smart WiFi Platform. The guide covers configuring the captive portal settings of a Wireless network and assumes that your NETGEAR Insight equipment is already operational and with a live network ready to configure for Guest WiFi. Please make sure any firewall rules, web content filters, and other security measures have been configured to interface with the platform.
- Login to your Netgear Insight dashboard
- Select your desired location
- Use the menu panel at the top to select the Wireless tab
- Click the settings button to the top right
- Click the Edit option for the network you want to configure to the platform
- On the settings page tab for the network make the following changes
- Client isolation: ON
- On the Captive Portal tab for the network make the following changes
- Enable Captive Portal: ON
- Captive Portal Type: External Captive Portal
- Splash Page URL: You will be provided this
- Primary Authentication Server IP: You will be provided this
- Secondary Authentication Server IP: You will be provided this
- Primary and Secondary Authentication Port: 1812
- Primary and Secondary Authentication Password: You will be provided this
- Primary Accounting Server IP: You will be provided this
- Secondary Accounting Server IP: You will be provided this
- Primary and Secondary Accounting Port: 1813
- Primary and Secondary Accounting Password: You will be provided this
- Failsafe: Disable
- Allow HTTPS: Disable
- Walled Garden: Use the text area to add all of the platform wildcard walled garden entries.
- Press Save
- This completes the configuration for NETGEAR Insight
